Buddha has been spayed last week. It has to be done soon since Buddha has a girlfriend named Mimie. And although Mimie is too young to get pregnant, Buddha felt the need to try. Alwin told me that everything went well. When Buddha got home, he immediately started to purr and uses the litter box. He got a bit dirty after using the litter box, but Alwin cleaned him of course. The veterinary assistant told Alwin that Buddha behaved himself very well. And before you knew it Buddha tried to walk again. Of course he was a bit shaky at first. When Buddha got home, Mimie was immediately in love again with Buddha. And Shiva (Alwin his dog) only sniffed a bit and everything was ok for her too. Alwin is very proud of his dear ones. And I am proud of Alwin for taking such good care of Buddha and giving him a girlfriend! Give Buddha, Mimie and Shiva a cuddle from us!

Just a few more nights of sleep and Millie will be due. I will keep my fingers crossed that everything will go well. Gerrit is so sweet to sleep the next few days with Millie in our kitten room. Millie is in love with Gerrit. I can cuddle Millie too, but she never sleeps on my lap. She only sleeps on Gerrit’s lap. And since this love is mutual between Millie and Gerrit, Gerrit doesn’t mind to sleep a couple of nights in Millie her room. Thanks Gerrit! Millie and I are very happy about that!

Yesterday I paid Renate a visit. Renate adopted Katmandu a while ago. I've always stay in contact with Renate since the birth of Kathmandu, but had not visited her yet. Renate has besides her cats also a dog, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens and turtles. I couldn’t believe my eyes! So many animals and they all get a long! Although most of her animals have their own large spaces to live, some of her animals are accessible to her cats. And they don’t harm each other. Yes, if someone is a big animal lover, it is Renate!

I had a hard time to photograph Katmandu. She was afraid for the flashlight of my camera .... But luckily I could take some shots while Renate was holding Katmandu. Kathmandu is not big in length, but very muscular and heavily built. She has become a beautiful lady! It was very nice to see Renate again and to see how she lives and want to thank her for her hospitality and the good care of Katmandu!

Millie is pregnant as I said earlier, but she isn’t big this time. I'm afraid that she carries at most 1 or 2 kittens. So I keep my fingers crossed that she will have healthy kittens. Because it would be heartbreaking if she don’t have at least one kitten to care for after her pregnancy. I know the combination (Brutus - Millie) isn’t the best one. But I couldn’t resist since I would like for Brutus to retire. And before Brutus retires I do want his offspring. Therefore I keep my fingers crossed as well...
Whether Mia is pregnant, I still don’t know. She fell on her side every time she was intimate with Brutus;-). How will Brutus be able to do his 'work' this way? After September 27th I know more. If her nipples aren’t changed in color and size by that time, she isn’t pregnant.

I received some new pictures from Alwin which I want to thank him for. Recently Alwin has adopted a new kitten called Mimie. It is so nice that Buddha has a new girlfriend! Buddha was in the beginning a bit bossy, but now they are close friends already. But I did warn Alwin, because how small Mimi is right now, for Buddha she is a potential candidate to breed;-). Since males can be a father at a very young age. Major for example was a father of 3 at 7 months!

I also received a few nice pictures from Frencis and Piet from their boat trip. Tommy is still a bit scared to go outside and prefers to stay close at the door of their boat. When something scary happens, he can quickly run inside. But what a cuddly cat he is lying in Piet his arms. So sweet!

Viv has written an article for the website 'www.uwhondenkat.nl’. And it has become a beautiful article! Well done Viv! And very sweet of you to write so kind about me. Thanks Viv! Chaplin and Lin are still inseparable. And I am so glad about that! This is the link to Viviane her article:
How I got Chaplin and Lin ....

Then something about my visit to the family Cabout yesterday. About a year ago Ans and Rob adopted Zoë and Jinxie and finally I had the opportunity to visit them. It was very nice to met Ans again (Rob had another apointment). They live in a beautiful home! And of course it is nice to see “my” former kitten(s) again. To see how they live, how they have developed and how their owners experience their pixiebob(s). Zoë isn’t fond of strangers Ans told me, but she came to me and I could cuddle her! So I was a bit proud about that;-). Zoë loves to play with a packet of handkerchiefs. She will jump very high to catch it when someone throws it in the air. Jinxie is a bit more ‘easy going’, but she isn’t afraid of strangers so I could cuddle her a lot. And they become so big and strongly build. I want to thank Ans and Rob again for their hospitality and for the good care of Zoë and Jinxie. These ladies have a wonderful life with these sweet people. Here are a few pictures of this beautiful couple!

It appears that Millie is pregnant. She has big nipples and they are a bit pink. She is also more cuddly then normal. I keep my fingers crossed that everything goes well! And if so she will be due around the 1st of October. I can’t wait!!!

The last few days we were a bit scarred. Maya was so nauseous and was vomiting repeatedly. Of course it could be just a hairball, but it took too long. So Sunday I took her to my vet. The vet could not see anything in her throat, so I went back home with something for hairballs and Primperan against nausea. Then the next day she seemed better, but today she was very nausea again. Besides that she didn’t know where to lay down…. So today I went to my vet again. When I carried the cage down the stairs, I thought what is that cage heavy! And when I drove I heard a meow that didn’t sound like Maya….. So I took a good look inside the cage and there she was…. Mia! Mia had gotten in the cage before I put Maya in. I thought “That’s the reason the cage was so heavy!”

This time Maya got a small doses of anesthesia so the vet could look deeper in Maya her throat and if necessary he could do more research. And yes! There it was! A grass blade that was stuck deep in her throat for days! I was so happy! No scary disease! And then we went home. Mia was glad to be home again and Maya was still a bit disoriented and unsteady on her feet. But nothing to worry about.

Today, Hennie and I paid Frencis, Piet and their pixiebob Tommy a visited. On their boat this time;-). That is new for me. They sail across a large part of the Netherlands and today they were in Breda. That’s where we met. It was very nice to see them all. Frencis and Piet are very nice people, and Tommy has such a great life with them. He gets so much attention and doesn’t need to be alone at home during their holidays. No, he goes everywhere with them. We are even treated to a delicious lunch (thanks again!) and we talked about a lot. Gladly Tommy wasn’t afraid of us, but he only wants to sleep at Frencis or Piet’s lap. But I couldn’t resist picking Tommy up and want to thank Hennie for taking a picture. And I want to thank Hennie for taking this trip with me. Tommy has grown a lot and he is very big for a half year of age. I am curious how big he will get when he is fully grown. He is a beautiful pixiebob with such a soft fur and a cute fluffy tail. Here are a few photos which Hennie and I have taken today. Frencis and Piet, thanks again for your great care for Tommy!

Unfortunately Macy and Mia aren’t pregnant as I told before, but when Mia gets in heat again she and Brutus may give it another try. In the mean time Millie and Brutus did spent some time together. If Millie is pregnant she will be due around the first of October.

I received some pictures from Alwin of his Buddha. What a lovely little guy Buddha is. He lets you know when he is enjoying our company. He purrs so loud! And he and Shiva are friends now. Shiva is such a big dog and Buddha is so small when you compare these two. But they get along fine. Thank you for the pictures Alwin!
